Winter's just about over, and if you're like us, you're already forming your spring cleaning checklist. Spotless floors should be at the top of your list! To help you get there, here are three spring cleaning tips for your floors:
1. Vacuum and shampoo carpets
You should be vacuuming daily, but we understand that's not always a realistic. As for shampooing, your best bet is to call in a professional. However, if you're looking for a DIY (do-it-yourself) approach, check out this guide from Apartment Therapy. (As a bonus, it uses only natural ingredients!)
2. Sweep and vacuum hardwood floors
Avoid taking a dripping mop to your beautiful wood floors. "...[It] can cause the boards to expand and splinter," warn the cleaning experts of Molly Maid. A thorough sweep and vacuum should be sufficient. If a deeper clean is necessary, look for a professional cleaner made specifically for hardwood floors.
3. Clean stained grout
It can be challenging to get tile floors to look clean if the grout is stained. Better Homes and Gardens recommends tackling the problem with a strong bleach solution (3/4 cup of bleach and 1 gallon of water) and a toothbrush. It may take a while, but it'll be worth it when your tiles are sparkling!

It definitely makes sense that you would need to make sure to keep your floors clean during the spring time. Something that really stands out is that sweeping the hardwood floor sounds like the best way to ensure that all the possible dust and fur is able to be picked up. My wife will love to be able to have a chance to finally feel like my home will be looking incredible. Thank you for sharing. http://jlgfloors.com
